New Life Raft Stowage Assembly Saves Highly Coveted Baggage Bin Space
Greensboro, North Carolina – 20 December 2010 … TIMCO Aerosystems, a unit of TIMCO Aviation Services, announced today that it has certified a newly developed life raft stowage solution for operators of B737NG aircraft. The TIMCO solution avoids the use of highly-valued baggage bin space by instead storing the life rafts in the ceiling above the aisle in the aircraft.
TIMCO’s manufactured solution is certified to meet all regulatory requirements, and can be installed on newly manufactured aircraft as well as on existing fleets as part of retrofit programs.
Mark Peterman, Vice President of TIMCO Aerosystems said, “It is exciting for us to have developed another innovative aircraft cabin product that addresses a challenge facing airlines. We look forward to certifying the stowage assembly on other aircraft fleet types in the near future.”
TIMCO Aerosystems is one of a select few providers that can support its customers with a full spectrum of aircraft interiors solutions, from state-of-the-art design and engineering to interiors and structures manufacturing, integration and certification.
